After considerable thought, prayer, and discussion, it has been decided to forgo traditional VBS this summer. Due to a lot of uncertainties and anxieties regarding COVID-19 we will not be having in-person VBS this summer.
Instead, we will be putting together VBS boxes for families at Trinity and in the community to have and use. This will be going out the in the first week of July to every family on our roster with children in prek-5. We will also be making this option available to the community. These boxes will have an easy to follow lesson, discussion questions, and craft for each day, as well as ideas for service activities that you can do. We encourage parents to take the time to go through these with their kids. Pastor Moshier and DCE Cassie will also be putting together short videos where we take the time to pray and introduce each day. These will be published to Facebook, Youtube, and Trinity’s webpage. In doing this we aim to protect children, volunteers, and families, and also plan to take this time to put together a quality resource for families to use. While this year has not been normal by any means, we hope that these kits will be useful for families, and will equip you as parents and grandparents to talk about your faith and God’s Word at home with your youth. Regular, quality faith conversations in the home are a critical factor in a child’s faith development. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns regarding this decision please contact the church office or send an email to email@example.com.
